Period Tracking Bracelets

Period Tracking Bracelets

[Problem]

Millions of women and girls don’t have access to any sort of period tracker — digital or manual. Without a way to track their cycle, they’re left guessing about their own bodies.

[Research Inspiration]

Body literacy research shows that visual, tactile cycle tracking builds awareness and reduces anxiety. When you can see where you are in your cycle at a glance, you build intuition — not just data on a screen.

[Handmade Solution]

Handmade beaded bracelets where each color maps to a cycle phase — red for period days, pink for ovulation days, and purple for most likely to get pregnant. A paper clip marker slides along the beads to track your current day. Each bracelet comes with an illustrated card showing how to use it and a bead guide. Easy, quick, and discreet — all it takes is one glance at your wrist.

[Community Impact]

39 bracelets made and donated to the House of Bread and Peace in Evansville, where they’re given to women and girls who don’t have access to any sort of tracker. Each one handmade, packaged with instructions, and given directly to someone who needs it.

Crocheted Worm Wellness Kits

[Problem]

Grief, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm can feel isolating, especially for kids and teens. A small, tangible object to hold onto can offer comfort when words aren’t enough.

[Research Inspiration]

Tactile and sensory objects help regulate the nervous system. Holding something soft and familiar can reduce stress, ground anxious thoughts, and give people a gentle, nonverbal way to self-soothe.

[Handmade Solution]

Handmade wellness kits, each with a little crocheted worm made of soft yarn, paired with a note of encouragement. The worms are small enough to keep in a pocket or bag, a quiet companion for hard days. You can see how they’re made in this reel: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcZSxOLPbV0/

[Community Impact]

A batch of crocheted worm wellness kits made and donated to the Lampion Center in Evansville, where they’re given to people working through grief and hardship. Each kit handmade with care, a small reminder that someone is thinking of them.
